Mamee Chef Malacca Day Out

It was a lucky day to me as a person who love to join contest and a Mommy who love to do blog especially on my 5 Little Angels for winning passes to Malacca to visit Mamee Chef factory and also got invitation from Nuffnang. Double happiness and double joy as not only Mommy able to enjoy it all, my little Angels able to go too to experience and explore the method Mamee Chef was made. All of us were very excited looking forward to the event, an anticipated event especially during school holiday...

Two buses to accommodate a total of 60 bloggers, 12 winners, Nuffnang and Mamee Cheff authorised personnel and others invited guests were send off from Mamee office at Subang Jaya at 9 a.m. and we reached our destination i.e. Mamee Chef factory, Ayer Keroh at 11.30 a.m. and my Little Angels responsed were "WOW"....
Mommy, can we bring the Giant Cup Noodles, little Mamee Monster and the Chef go home...
In the recent data research released by Kantar WorldPanel shows that out of 5.47 Million TOTAL household, Mamee-Double Decker instant noodles are being purchased by 4.2 million household buyers in Peninsular Malaysia which include me and my Little Angels as we love to eat Mamee and its been in Malaysia for generations...

Mamee Chef Curry Laksa was rated Top 10 Best Instant Noodles in the World for 2014 by http://www.theramenrater.com/. Theramenrater.com is known for his popular reviews of all the instant noodles that he has tasted from around the world. He is based in US and has reviewed over 1,200+ different type of noodles. He reviews and rates them solely based on his own opinion. In his recent postings The Ramen Rater has included Mamee Chef in his annual Top 10 best instant noodles in the world for 2014.

On 25th April 2014, Mamee Double Decker reached another milestone when it was presented the Bronze Award under Food Stuff Category. An annual awards event judged by the consumers in Malaysia and is organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As).

Mamee Double-Decker Sdn Bhd is the proud recipient of Frost & Sullivan's Home-Grown Packaged Food Company of the Year for 2 consecutive years. The Frost & Sullivan's awards recognises innovation and best practices across various industries in Malaysia.

Wow... with so many awards in hand, me and my Little Angels can't wait to learn the way Mamee Chef was made..

First the ingredients are kneaded together to made a dough. After it is kneaded, the dough put through the rotating rollers to develop gluten more easily as the sheet is pulled like la mian, folded and passed through the rollers several times. This will create the stringy and chewy texture found in the Mamee Chef noodles. When the noodle belt is made to the desired thickness by adjusting the gap in the rolls, it is then cut right away. Once the noodles are shaped, it is ready to be steamed by 1-5 minutes at 100 degrees Celsius to improve its texture by gelatinizing the starch of the noodles. Next, noodles will be be dried by frying and then cooled off. Quality of moisture, colour and shape are checked before packaging. A good education for my Little Angels as they now knew the process of making the Mamee Chef noodles, the noodles that they love. Yeah... We're the first group of children to visit the factory...
A renowned celebrity chef who is well known for his expertise in Malay cuisine has teamed up with Mamee-Double Decker to create original recipe and flavour that represents Malaysia. For Mamee Chef creation, Dato' Chef Ismail has ensure the flavour and taste is similar to what Malaysian always have at home. The paste (co-created with Chef Ismail) for Mamee Chef's Thai Tom Yan and Curry laksa recipe are made with fresh ingredients of herbs and spices.

To ensure that Mamee Chef has an even better taste, each packet of Mamee Chef comes with a pre-packed condiment. There's different condiments for different flavours such as Prawns, bite-sized tofu, shiitake mushrooms and vegetables.
