Best Seafood Dining Experience at South Sea Seafood Restaurant

I always heard from my friends on the best seafood served at the South Sea Seafood Restaurant that I should give it a try but due to my times constraints and busy schedule with my Little Angels and events, I just can't find the times to try it out till my hubby had suggested for us to have a dinner there after our outing for the KRR Run at Desa Waterpark. Hubby wanted to treat Mommy Jane and Little Angels a nice dinner in conjunction with Mother's Day this month.

South Sea Seafood Restaurant is located at No. 229, Jalan Dua A, Kampung Baru Subang, 40150 Selangor Darul Ehsan. It is near to the Subang Airport and is one of the most popular restaurant in the area. You can even see some of aeroplanes at the restaurant itself and my Little Angels were very excited whenever they saw aeroplanes pass by them. There are ample of parkings too. You can park behind the restaurant or opposite of it and its all free.

South Sea Seafood Restaurant was established in 1989 and it has since underwent a major revamp and face lift over the years. The place is cosy and suitable to entertain your family, friends, guests or clients with well trained staffs. You can see by judging its beautiful exterior with indoor air-conditioned dining area and a much larger outdoor dining area.

One thing that you shouldn't while in the restaurant is their male toilet. You can overlooked the fish swimming even at the male toilet. Ha ha ha... The toilet was decorated with Bali style with wooden doors and traditional wooden sculpture hanging around.

The restaurant is pork free restaurant and they have many Malay patrons. The restaurant offers varieties of seafood and mostly are still swimming in water tanks. The concept is similar to Unique Seafood Restaurant where you got to choose your own seafood.

The Branch Manager at the South Sea Seafood Restaurant had recommended some of the popular dishes to us but since only me, my hubby and my 5 Little Angels, we just ordered 5 dishes as below :-
Cheesy Lobster

The first dish that we ordered is their signature dish, Cheesy Lobster at RM55 per 100 gram. The lobster was so fresh that we could taste the original taste and the sweetness. The texture of the meat is tender and juicy. The butter milk lobster was so flavourful, creamy and milky. The sauce goes well with the taste and vest till eat when it is hot. The plate of lobster was finger linking good. Me and my Little Angels love it so much. Even my hubby who don't like the milky type had sapu all. Ha ha ha...
Xiong Tong Lala
Our next dish is "Xiong Tong Lala". The Lala is not big but they are plumpy and juicy. The soup was flavourful with a bit of spicy. We love the soup so much that we had finished till the last drop.
Yin Yong Kailan
To balance our diet, our 3rd dish is Yin Yong Kailan. The leaves were deep fried till crispy while the stem were stir fry. The leaves were so crispy that my Little Angels thought it is their favourite Japanese seaweed that they had always ate. Great way of cooking a vegetable that mades my Little Angels had more than usual.
Homemade Bean Curd
Our 4th dish is the Homemade Bean Curd with minced chicken sauce. The homemade tofu was soft and smooth. This dish was superb delicious and my Little Angels love it so much.
Salted Egg Crab
Our last dish is the Salted Egg Crab. The Sri Lankan crabs can consider large in size. This is cooked fresh and the crabs were swimming in the water tank. The meat is tender and juicy. The salted egg goes well with the original taste of the crab. The bed of egg was soft and fluffy. Each bite was full of the crab's sweetness and wholesomeness.

The food portion was generous and nicely decorated to bring out the freshness of the seafood served.

It was quite crowded when we about to leave at 7.30 p.m. So, to avoid disappointment, it is advisable to call them at 03-78465813 for early reservations. Do check out their Website at http://www.southsea.com.my/  and Facebook HERE.

It was a great dining experience for me and my Little Angels. Our seafood cravings were satisfied at South Sea Seafood Restaurant. All the dishes were cook tastefully with great satisfaction. A must to try restaurant in Subang and we'll definitely come back again for more choices of fresh seafood.
