Chin Swee Temple at Genting Highlands

Chin Swee Temple is situated in the most scenic site of Genting Highlands. Within the Temple is seated a statue of the Reverend Master Chin Swee, who has long been referred to as a deity in Fujian Province for his supernatural abilities to summon rain and drive away evil spirits. The Temple is situated on a 28-acre plot of rocky, forested land donated by Genting Group founder, Tan Sri Dato' Seri (Dr) Lim Goh Tong.

Irene, PR from Resort World Genting told us that when Tan Sri Dato' Lim stayed at the hill side to explore the forest of Genting at that time, he dreamt that Reverend Master Chin Swee had appeared at his dream. Master Chin informed Tan Sri Dato' Lim to proceed with the development of Genting and he'll protect and ensure the smooth development of Genting till it success. To thank Master Chin for the protection, Tan Sri Dato' Lim had build a Chin Swee Temple located 4,600 feet above sea level and the Temple is about 5-10 minutes drive down from the peak of the mountain.

Imported directly from China, these stone carvings convey 24 famous Chinese tales of filial piety.

Pagoda resplendent 9-storey structure is decorated with 10,000 Buddhas. Of the 10,000 blessing lamps originally installed for those looking by the deity, only 1,000 now remain.

Each of the nine dragons on this wall, which stands at the main entrance of the Temple represents it different type of luck. For instance, in ancient meeting a yellow dragon would be destined to become a high-ranking official.

Fu-Lu-Shou is a very famous Chinese trinity of deities who represent prosperity, achievement and longetivity. They are usually shown together and are known to attract health, wealth and prosperity.

The beauty of the ornate bridge is made even more alluring with the presence of statues of the Seven Fairies descending gracefully from the heaven.

Take a vivid, sometimes disturbing, but ultimately enlightening trip through the ten levels of Chinese hell and discover the principles of karma, cause and effect in Buddhism. So, if you don't want to go to hell and suffered there, then be good to everyone. Good lessons for my Little Angels so that when they grow up, they'll become a kind person that willing to help out.

Devotees of the Goddess Guan Yin can pray to the intricately-carved statue of the deity.

Standing behind the Chin Swee Caves Temple is the gigantic statue of Buddha which is truly a sight to behold.

Within the Chin Swee Caves Temple lies a natural rock within a flowing stream. The rock is said to give the waters of the stream the power to heal all sicknesses.

Chin Swee Caves Temple boasts a finely-crafted exterior, an imposing ornamental rood and exquisitely-carved walls on the outside, and a statue of the Reverend Chin Swee on the inside is among other fascinating sights and experiences.

Me and my Little Angels had a great time praying for Master Chin Swee and all the God here. I felt so relax as met up with so many God statues which were finely crafted just like a real one surrounded by beautiful mountains in a cooling and fresh air. Every statue had its very own story from heaven till hell and I'm glad that my Little Angels had learned something useful by visiting Chin Swee Temple. Hope Master Chin Swee and all the God there will protect all of us from illness and gave us a better health, wealth and prosperity for coming years.
