Happy Family Day at The Arc, Bandar Rimbayu

Last Saturday, Mommy Jane and Little Angels were invited to join a Happy Family Day at The Arc, Bandar Rimbayu. This is our first outing to Bandar Rimbayu and when we reached, we were impressed by the natural scenery that was surrounded by beautiful trees and even a water fountain.

IJM Land had invited public to the Happy Family Day at The Arc, Bandar Rimbayu, a family friendly event to entertain both young and old to vote for the much awaited Penduline showrooms which were furnished by the two finalists of the IJM Land Designer Award 2016.

IJM LAND had challenged young interior designers to submit their concepts under the theme "Reliving Nostalgic Memories" for the furnishing of the Penduline homes in Bandar Rimbayu. The response was good where more than 100 contestants took on the challenge and tried to convince the 7-persons jury of their vision.

14 contestants were shortlisted for round 2 and these contestants then presented their designs based on different floor plans of the showrooms. In the end, Goh Sow Yee and Leo Wong Kwan Theng were selected as the finalists of iLDA 2016. Their diverse approaches to the award's theme and their detailed implementation of their ideas into an interior design concept were the decisive points behind the judges' decision.

"What really made the difference was that they were able to look at the whole picture of the interior design and conveyed a message with their ideas", says Fendarie Su, Chief Judge and Director of Santa Fe Interior Architecture about the two contestants.

After looking at these 2 designs, which design that you think will win ? Design A or B ? Visitors aged 18 and above will be able to vote for their favourite interior design directly and help determine the winner of the IJM Land Designer Award 2016. Mommy Jane and Little Angels had voted for Design B by Leo Wong Kwan Theng that suits all of us well and we really love the design of it that looks classic and comfortable.

To celebrate the finalisation of the showrooms and the important milestone for both IJM LAND and the contestants, the Happy Family Day at Bandar Rimbayu offer a wide range of fun activities to entertain both children and adults. The all day activities include 5D cinema that turns the magic of short movies into a living reality by making use of 6 motion hydraulic chairs. The immersive experience is not that regular cinema would do as it fully incorporates all our senses by including special effects like vibration, fog, bubbles, thunder storms, snow or rain and all depending on the film's storyline that offers a unique and exciting adventure to both children and adults.

After our movie session, my Little Angels had fun cycling around the area for 10 minutes with the motor bicycles that were rented out for free.
Our next activity is the much-loved zorb ball that triumphant return on land and on water.

There is also a flea market for us to enjoyed variety of food and to made a quick purchase for some vegetables and clothings.
A neck and shoulders or foot massage was performed by blind masseurs whose hands can work real wonders. Mommy Jane had enjoyed the relaxed massage session with my blogger friends.
Blogger Friends, Rane and Uncle Hong happily enjoyed their foot massage session

It is indeed a tough decision for us to decide but we had voted for the best one that suits all of us well. We really love the environment there that gave us a relaxed feelings of the luxury home.
