Celebrate Wesak Day and Dumpling Festival at Resort World Genting

Buddhists around the world are celebrating Wesak, one of the most important days in the Buddhist calendar to commemorates the birth, enlightenment and death of the Buddha, Siddhattha Gotama. Genting Buddhist Group has invited Venerable Xing Ji from KL to conduct a two-day Wesak Day Ceremony and Venerable Kong Yung Zhong will also be giving a "Dharma Discourse".

The event start from 7am to 8.45pm which include the morning chanting, meditation, offering to Buddha, Individual & Mass Family Refuge taking in the Triple Gem, evening chanting, lighting of lamp and bathing of Buddha Ceremony that symbolizes the elimination of the three evils of Greed, Hatred and Ignorance which will mark the end of the two-day Wesak Day Celebration. Bak Kut Teh Dumpling
The Dumpling Festival ("Duan Wu Jie") is a colourful festival celebrated by Chinese worldwide on the 5th day of the 5th month of lunar calendar. It is a yearly event and during this day, we will commonly feast on dumplings which we called as "Zong Zi" in Chinese.
Nyonya dumpling
From 15 May to 9 June 2016, three Resorts World outlets will be the focus of guests looking to purchase and enjoy rib-sticking, generously-filled glutinuous rice dumplings. Genting Palace on the 2nd Floor of Genting Grand, Good Friends Restaurant at Level 2, Maxims Hotel and Hainan Kitchen at Level 2, First World Plaza will be offering these traditional treats form 12 noon to 8pm daily.
Dried Squid Dumpling
There are seven variants of dumplings available. Nyonya dumpling at RM7.80 nett, Black-eyed dumplings at RM14.50 nett, Tian Bak at RM14.50 nett, Plain Crystal dumpling at RM2.50 nett, Crystal dumpling with red bean at RM3.00 nett, Bak Kut Teh dumpling at RM15.50 nett and Dried Squid Dumpling at RM17.50 nett.
