Football Training by EPS Sports Academy

Every weekend, Mommy Jane will bring Little Angels to 1 Utama Shopping Centre for their football training organise by EPS Sports Academy. Participating in football provides many health benefit for children. It's a physically demanding game that provide an opportunity for players to improve their speed, agility, strength, eye-hand coordination and overall cardiovascular endurance. To ensure my Little Angels grow healthily, Mommy Jane had registered them for a 10 lessons classes and they were trained by Brazillian Coaches.
EPS Sports Academy is a provider of sport coaching focused on football, swimming, volleyball, basketball, tennis, athletics, capoeira, jiujitsu, fitness and holiday camps. The academy provides coaching for toddlers and kids from the early age of 6 months for swimming and 18 months for football and all the way to older children, teens and adults. The program vary from basic coordination skills to learning the sport, specialist clinics and to competitive level teams participating in tournaments.
The academy hires only qualified and trained Brazillian coaches and all its coaches hold Sports Science degree together with a teaching degree which is compulsory to coach in Brazil. The Brazillian coaches has a minimum of 6 years college education focused on sports and coaching. They also played and competed competitively in their sports and have many years of coaching experience before come to Malaysia. As all of us knew, Brazil is consistently ranked in the Top 10 world rankings for these sports. EPS today provides its services to a number of schools, clubs and sport locations and 1 of it is at Upper Level, 1U where my Little Angels had attended the training.

EPS Soccer/Football/Futsal Program Structure enrolment will run per term for 12 weeks Level Content Duration for Baby Soccer (18 months to 36 months). This class will introduce toddlers to soccer with games that allow them to run, play as a group and kick a ball. They gain basic soccer skills while building fundamentals such as balance and coordination. Kids will play organised games together to develop listening skills, balance, ball skills and foor-eye coordination. The class was held 45 minutes weekly and parental involvement is required.

For Level 2 (4-6 years old), the class focuses on ball control, kicking the ball and the basics of a soccer match. The players will start to understand the concept of two teams in a game and working as a team as they begin to understand the basics of passing the ball to members of their own team. This class was held 1-hour weekly and the children were trained to be independent joining the soccer training with their friends without their parents around but parents could give them support outside the training area.
At level 3 (7-10 years old), the class will focus on advanced ball control, developing fitness levels and passing techniques. Match play is encouraged so that positions in a soccer team and the roles of players are worked out. It is an 1-Hour weekly class.

At level 4 (11-13 years old), the players' skills and fitness are further developed and honed. More match play is conducted to encourage teamwork and competitiveness. It is an 1-Hour weekly class.
Girls Soccer (7-12 years old) is perfect for young girls who want to learn the game to attend the class. The class focuses of ball control, kicking the ball and the basics of a soccer match. Teens Soccer (13-17 years old) program is for teenagers who have keen interest to develop their soccer skills further. At this level, the focus will be on players' skills, fitness and match play. Both these classes were held 1-Hour weekly.
There is also a competitive training for kids who show potential and commitment to soccer where this program will further develops their skills, fitness and knowledge of the game. The teams will represent the Academy in tournaments and leagues in the city. It will held twice a week at 1.5 hours each.
Activities that my Little Angels always enjoy weekly
EPS current has over 500 students at locations across Kuala Lumpur ie. British International School, Garden International School, International School at Park City, Sri Nobel School, Tadika Diyana, Park City Club House (Desa ParkCity), Tropicana Golf Club and Resort, KGNS, Padang @ 1 Utama and other condominiums.  
The fee for every 10 lessons is at RM487.60 (inclusive of GST) plus one time registration fee of RM116.60 with free uniform provided. My 4 Little Angels in action
After attending just 5 classes, my Little Angels showed lots of improvement. At the beginning, they might reluctant a bit to join the futsal training but once they able to control the ball, they have all the fun weekly with the Coaches from Brazil. They learned working together in a group and striving to achieve group goals. Besides that, they learn about practicing sportsmanship on how to deal with success and failure i.e. winning and losing. They enjoy the fun, learn skills, develop fitness and the competition through futsal training by EPS Sports Academy.

  2. Awh the activity looks like such fun Jane and the kids look like they are enjoying the experience too. Like the fact that they are indulging in sports at such a young age - it's such a healthy activity to delve into :)

  3. What a forward thinking parent you are by enrolling your children in sports classes. I think many Malaysian parents prefer to have their kids indoors these days. LOL

    1. Isaac, EPS Sports Academy got classes for toddler, aged from 18 months onwards. I'm sure this futsal training is suitable for your boys too.
