Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) at Premier Clinic

Hair is a symbol of feminity and it reflect our appearance. It gave us self-esteem and self-confidence when meeting up with peoples. Mommy Jane had problem with hair loss since at the age of 15 years old due to change in hormone. Mommy Jane had since tried various treatments for hair regrowth but it is only a temporary method. Once Mommy Jane had stopped it or once the hair was used with the treatment, the hair will loss again even though thousands of ringgit had been spend. Mommy Jane recently came across a hair transplant i.e. Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) at Premier Clinic, Taman Tun and had seek for a consultation beforehand.
A week before the transplant, Mommy Jane had an appointment with Dr Michelle Lai to discuss the options and outcomes before going ahead with the transplant process. Dr Michelle is an aesthetic doctor at Premier Clinic. She was graduated from Crimea State Medical University with honours. She had a high experienced in hair procedures such as FUE hair transplants, breast enhancement and vaginal rejuvenation.

Doctor Lai is a friendly person and she assures me that the transplant will be a simple process with minimise pain and it will only take a day to complete it. She said that the transplant is depends on our specific hair condition and whether we're suitable for the procedure. After her examination, she said that Mommy Jane is suitable to do the transplant and the nurse in-charge helped Mommy Jane to do an appointment for the transplant procedure to be done a week later. The nurse also did some checking on Mommy Jane's blood pressure and health history for record purposes.

FUE is a new revolutionary treatment which helps to solve my hair loss problems. It is just a minor surgical method with minimal invasive and uses a special tool that does not cause any linear scarring. The most important is, no stitches will be required during the procedure. It uses hair from my own body, chosen from a "donor area" to be transplanted to the area suffering from bald spots or hair thinning.
After the extract session
The process can be lengthy. Mommy Jane had started the extract session from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. and from 2 p.m. till 6 p.m. is the transplant session. It took a whole day to complete the follicular unit extraction in a single session. The back area will be trim for them to identified and removal of strong and healthy donor hairs and it will be done in random basis so that there won't be any patch of bald area behind. The individual follicular units were removed by making a tiny circular incision around them to isolate the graft. They then extract the graft using a tweezers-like instrument.
Before the Transplant
When the follicular grafts are ready, they make small incisions in my recipient area that match my natural hair growth pattern. The follicular grafts are then strategically placed one by one, according to the number of hairs within each follicle, in order to maximise the naturalness, density and coverage of the thinning areas.

During the process, Mommy Jane was alert at most of the times. Mommy Jane was given anesthesia injection at the head before the extract and before the transplant session begin. Mommy Jane don't feel the pain. Just a bit of discomfort during the whole process. To make Mommy Jane feel more comfortable and less stress, Dr Lai, while doing the process, had chat with Mommy Jane about my 5 Little Angels. It was a great chat coz' both of us are working Mom and we understand each other well.

Times passes very fast and by 6 p,m., Dr Lai and Dr Kee had completed the Follicular Unit Extraction process. Mommy Jane was really glad it is all over now and the transplant was indeed a successful one with 500 grafts being extracted and planted at the top balding area.
After the Transplant
The tiny incisions left behind after the follicular units are extracted, will heal completely in a few days time but Mommy Jane had started work on the next day after the transplant. Dr Kee said as for the transplant area, the hair will drop within 3 months and you will notice new hair growth after that. Normally the whole process will takes within 1 year to have a significant regrowth, at which point Mommy Jane's native and transplanted hair will continue to grow naturally.

    1. Titan, mine RM18 X 500 grafts equal to RM9,000 + medication around RM1,500. Total around RM10,500. In long term, consider cheap as compare to hair treatment.
