Last weekend, Mommy Jane brought Little Angels to Champignons which located at Oasis Square for a dinner. Named after the French word for mushrooms that are so often used in western cuisine, Champignons serves contemporary European dishes featuring selected fresh Asian ingredients and flavours.
Started operations in December 2017, Champignons is a new addition to Oasis Damansara's food scene. The kitchen in this semi-fine dining restaurant is headed by one of their founders, Gary. Gary is a passionate foodie who has been in the hospitality industry for over 15 years. Graduated in KDU, Gary has worked in hotels and restaurants in Switzerland, London, Dubai and Macau. He also has been exploring cuisines all over the world in the past 2 decades to deepen their knowledge and broaden their experience.

Making use of Asian ingredients and flavours that are enhanced with modern preparation techniques, Champignons are also mindful in being consistent with their dedication to sustainability by sourcing only the freshest produce for their menu. Their team will craft an exceptional menu paired with outstanding fine wines to let us to experience their interpretation of modern slow food.
Our starter on that day are Fresh Salmon with Yogurt, Wholemeal Garlic Bread with Butter and Seared Role Gras with Fig Jam. Using Brioche toast, balsamic reduction and sweet red wine jelly, Seared Role Gras with Fig Jam was soft, smooth, tender and juicy and it is one of my Little Angels' favourite.

For someone who is looking for a unique soup, French Onion Soup might be your choice. Caramelized onion toast and gruyere cheese espuma, the taste of the soup is indeed unique and delicious if you're an onion and cheese lover.

Grilled US Pork Ribs with Plum Sake Glaze are our favourite dish. The meat was juicy and couple with plum sake that brings a bit of sweetness. It is one of the best pork spareribs that are so flavourful and yummylicious.
As for our main menu, we were served with Baked Halibut Fillet with Lemon. Baked seafood rice with tomato and zucchini which makes it a hearty and filling and yet a healthy dinner. With a quick and easy lemon-herb marinade, the fish dish is bursting with fresh citrus flavour.
Champignons serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and coffee which is suitable for family gatherings, friends gatherings or corporate event. It is a kids' friendly restaurant with ambience environment. Champignons was located at B-G-02, Oasis Square, Ara Damansara, 47301, Petaling Jaya, Selangor Darul Ehsan and for reservation, do call them up at 03-78322629. After trying out the food here, Mommy Jane and Little Angels had enjoyed the food. The taste was excellent and we were amazed with the freshest ingredients that had been used. Chef Gary said the pork was imported from USA, Beef and Salmon are from Australia. The quality of the food is their main focus to bring out the best taste to all the diners. We definitely will come back again to enjoy our favourite pork ribs and other dishes in the menu.
