Cheer to Orphans this Raya at the Curve

Raya is best celebrated in the company of family and loved ones, a time for sharing and togetherness. As part of their CSR project, the Curve had invited a group of children from Rumah Permata Hatiku to celebrate Raya in a traditional kampung atmosphere. Mommy Jane was there to witness the celebration with the kids and invited guests.
The mall's Centre Court was surrounded by green shrubs and shady trees with a kampung house and its exterior sporting, a realistic-looking watercolour effect to give the shoppers an authentic kampung ambience. Besides that traditional games such as congkak, batu seremban and kaki panjang were available for adults and children to play. Reminds me of my childhood games and I'm sure my 5 Little Angels would love to join me too.

The evening started with a bang of talented dancers performed to classic Malay hits i.e. Kenangan Manis Musical.  Weaving in traditional dance styles such as Joget and Zapin, the performance told the tale of the good old days of kampung life and spending Raya with family. I'm sure many of my Muslim friends are eager to balik kampung for this Raya and this performance will reminds us of our life at Kampung and the importance of the celebration with family.
Senior General Manager of the Curve, Encik Jazmi Kamarudin said that it is an annual tradition for them at the Curve to give back to those who need it most, especially during the festive seasons. Something as simple as sharing a meal together can make a world of difference and this is something which we want to give our esteemed guests. They hope all the kids and the invited guests had a great time with them today and they are honoured to have had this opportunity to break fast together with their young guests.

Encik Jazmi Kamarudin also presented the kids and their caregivers with Raya goodies and Duit Raya before adjourned to Marhaba Restaurant for a scrumptious buka puasa meal.
