the Curve Welcomes Year of The Rabbit with A Touch of Chinese Opera

Every weekend, I will always bring my 5 Little Angels to the Curve because I could shop everything under one roof and variety of delicious food to choose from..

the Curve is kicking off 2023 by welcoming the Lunar New Year with hope, gratitude and good fortune. Ringing in the Year of the Rabbit with a campaign themed “Spring Theatre Festival”, patrons are in for a memorable and theatrical celebration from December 31, 2022, until January 24, 2023, as the shopping mall takes inspiration from the spectacular art form of Chinese opera.

Take a step back into time as the Curve’s Centre Court is transformed into a dazzling scene filled with colourful elements that beautifully showcase the rich heritage of the traditional opera. Auspicious touches including Chinese lanterns and cherry blossom trees complete the décor to create an Instagram-ready backdrop for visitors to snap away.

Taking a leaf out of Chinese opera, the Curve’s signature musical performance this time is a unique showcase filled with vibrant moves and mesmerising costumes ready to entertain shoppers on weekends and public holidays at 2.00pm and 5.00pm. From January 14 onwards, one can also look forward to the mall’s highly-anticipated acrobatic lion dance performance by the Khuan Loke Dragon and Lion Dance Association, which takes place on weekends and public holidays at 6.00pm.

Jazmi Kamarudin, Senior General Manager, Property Management & Investment of Boustead Properties Berhad said that being in multicultural Malaysia gives us a wonderful opportunity to appreciate and embrace the different festive occasions and special traditions of each culture. They always strive to respect each occasion and create an atmosphere for everyone to enjoy at their family-oriented mall. This time as they usher in the Chinese New Year, they are happy to create a lively and memorable environment at the Curve for families, loved ones and friends to gather, celebrate reunion dinners and shop at our diverse retail outlets!

Look out for the signature traditional instrumental performances every Sunday and public holidays at 7.30pm, while one can look out for God of Prosperity during his walkabouts on weekends and public holidays at 1.00pm, 4.30pm and 6.45pm from January 14 onwards. A special children’s dance performance is also set to excite the little ones on January 7&8 at 1.00pm and 4.30pm.

Look out for art and craft for kids to keep them entertained while Mommy could shop in peace

Additionally, one can enjoy a variety of special promotions from retailers and vendors at the Centre Court throughout the campaign, ranging from Chinese New Year traditional apparel and accessories to cookies, fragrances, and many others that are sure to leave shoppers spoilt for choice.

To celebrate the prosperous month, the Curve is offering shoppers a chance to be part of the Curve’s Redemption Program where those who spend RM138 and above in a maximum of two receipts at any outlet in the Curve will be able to redeem a set of Ang Pow packets. Even better, shoppers who spend RM388 and above in a maximum of two receipts will be able to redeem an exclusive Prosperous Spring Bag along with a set of Ang Pow packets. All redemptions are subject to terms and conditions.
