Mamil ‘Let It Out’ Campaign

Cooking time...Mommy, bloggers and media got to learned 2 recipes today from the 19 Culinary Studio located at Jalan Dungun, Damansara Heights sponsored by Dumex Mamil in conjunction with their campaign "Let It Out".

In an effort to raise public awareness on gut health in children, Mamil, a brand of growing-up milk by Danone Dumex (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., recently launched Mamil “Let It Out”, an educational campaign that aims to help mothers better understand the importance of gut health in children.

Speaking to mothers at the launch, Sue Yee Yin, Senior Brand Manager at Danone Dumex who is a mother herself, said, “Through this campaign, Mamil aims to provide mothers with the right information on the importance of taking care of their children’s gut health. By giving them the right knowledge, we hope mothers can take the necessary steps to improve their children’s gut health.”

The campaign was hatched to address common digestive discomforts in children, which often lead to straining and passing of hard stoolsFrom June to 10th August 2014, Mamil is conducting activities on gut health that will help to educate and engage mothers, including roadshows and learning sessions on the role of gut health in children’s development.
Christiaan Uittenbosch, Lim Sze Mun, Goo Chui Hoong, Sue Yee Yin and Carisse Khoo from Danone Dumex (M) Sdn. Bhd with their delicious homemade wheat germ pizza.
Next, we have Ms. Goo from International Medical University Kuala Lumpur, about how diet and nutrition play a role in children’s gut health. Goo said the types of solid foods or liquids a child consumes affect the stool size, colour, consistency and frequency of bowel movements. Children should be encouraged to eat foods rich in fibre such as fruits and vegetables to help move bowels regularly.

“For children, getting the right nutrients is essential in their daily routine, especially during early childhood. This is why I encourage mothers to give their children a healthy and balanced diet to help promote regular bowel movements and a healthy gut,” stated Goo.

The role of fluids and exercise in maintaining a healthy gut, Goo also emphasised. For children two to three years old, it is recommended to keep them hydrated with one to two glasses of plain water daily, and six to eight glasses for children aged four years and above. When it comes to exercise, children will benefit best if they clock in at least an hour of moderate-intensity activity, such as cycling and brisk walking everyday.
Ms. Goo Chui Hoong, Dietitian and Adjunct Senior Clinical Lecturer
The gut plays an important role in other areas of a child’s health, such as ensuring the proper absorption of nutrients and supporting a healthy immune system. A poor immune system can make a child more susceptible to diarrhoea and infections, which could lead to loss of appetite, decrease in nutrients intake, malabsorption and eventually, undernutrition. When a child is undernourished in his early years, this can affect his cognitive development, behaviour and performance in school. This is why a healthy gut is important to ensure nutrients from food are effectively absorbed.

To strengthen the gut health of children, mothers can consider to choose growing-up milk that has prebiotics – a type of insoluble fibre that stimulates the growth of beneficial bacteria for better bowel movement and overall digestive health.According to the Malaysian Dietary Guidelines for Children and Adolescents (2013), it is recommended to take two to three servings of milk every day.

Christian Uittenbosch, Associate Marketing Director, Danone Dumex (M) Sdn. Bhd., explains: “Danone Dumex believes in the importance of partnering with mums to nurture every new life, from pregnancy all the way to toddler-hood. With Mamil ‘Let It Out’, our goal is to reach out to Malaysian mums and help them take charge of their children’s gut health.

Christian Uittenbosch, Associate Marketing Director
With years of extensive research, Mamil is the only growing-up milk formula that contains a unique Prebiotics Oligosaccharide Mixture scGOS/lcFOS (9:1), which is scientifically proven to support a healthy gut environment. The unique combination of nutrients helps strengthen immunity and support a stronger protective barrier for the gut and help soften stools.
Say "Cheese"
Mothers are encouraged to try Mamil for seven (7) days and see the difference.  From June to 10th August 2014, mothers can experience the benefit of Mamil for free by simply exchanging their current brand of growing-up milk for a Mamil starter kit. There will also be special promotional discounts and fun activities for the family, such as a play area for kids and a photo wall.

Invited as blogger to witness my favourite fast food chain since small, McDonald's to unveils their new mission and image for brand ambassador Ronald McDonald. Ronald McDonald, who represents the magic and happiness of the McDonald’s brand, is setting out on a globalmission to rally people through inspiring events.
Hi everyone, did I looks great with my new outfit
Coming off the heels of the successful Ronald McDonald global relaunch in April, Malaysia is Ronald’s first stop in his journey of bringing smiles and happiness to the world in fun and unexpected ways.

I'm on top of the world n prepare for fun sliding down
For the first time, Ronald McDonald will take an active role on McDonald’s social media channels around the world and engage consumers using the #RonaldMcDonald hashtag. As Ronald begins his journey, he seeks to deliver on the mission: “Fun makes great things happen” – the idea that moments of fun and enjoyment bring out the simple pleasures in life and can lead to acts of goodness.
Here I come....
“Ronald brings to life the fun of our brand by connecting with customers around the world, whether he’s promoting literacy or spreading cheer at a Ronald McDonald House,” said Dean Barrett, Senior Vice President, Global Relationship Officer. “Customers today want to engage with brands in different ways and Ronald will continue to evolve to be modern and relevant.”

Accomplished my mission
The first leg of Ronald McDonald’s global journey was at the popular 1 Utama Shopping Centre where thousands of families and children were treated to a once-in-a-lifetime snowy weekend when Ronald‘s brought in snow’ to cool down the scorching heat through a specially-designed winter wonderland. The two-day event on June 14 and 15 featured a spectacular custom-made snow hill that allowed adults and children alike to revel in the joys of snow sledding. Ronald McDonald was in his element as he warmly interacted, joked and posed for pictures with the excited crowd.

“Ronald continues to bring happiness and smiles to families around the world. In his role, he shares the good news that simple moments of fun can make great things happen. Here in Malaysia, Ronald will continue to play an active role in foster in red shoes will remain the same. Reserved for special occasions, Ronald has a whimsical new red blazer with the Golden Arches on the front pocket and his well-recognized signature on the back, and a special bow tie to complete the look.

Ronald McDonald can’t wait to connect with people through social media. “Selfies …here I come! It’s a big world and now, wherever I go and whatever I do...I’m ready to show how fun can make great things happen,” said Ronald McDonald. Yeah...
We complete our mission and be the first to experience it

Double happiness and double joy as not only Mommy able to enjoy it all, my little Angels able to go too to experience and explore the method Mamee Chef was made. All of us were very excited looking forward to the event, an anticipated event especially during school holiday...

You can check more information and like their facebook here... Mamee Chef

My cute 3 Little Angels with their favourite Little Mamee Monster
Mamee Chef Curry Laksa was rated Top 10 Best Instant Noodles in the World for 2014 by http://www.theramenrater.com/. Theramenrater.com is known for his popular reviews of all the instant noodles that he has tasted from around the world. He is based in US and has reviewed over 1,200+ different type of noodles. He reviews and rates them solely based on his own opinion. In his recent postings The Ramen Rater has included Mamee Chef in his annual Top 10 best instant noodles in the world for 2014.

On 25th April 2014, Mamee Double Decker reached another milestone when it was presented the Bronze Award under Food Stuff Category. An annual awards event judged by the consumers in Malaysia and is organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As).

Mamee Double-Decker Sdn Bhd is the proud recipient of Frost & Sullivan's Home-Grown Packaged Food Company of the Year for 2 consecutive years. The Frost & Sullivan's awards recognises innovation and best practices across various industries in Malaysia.

Wow... with so many awards in hand, me and my Little Angels can't wait to learn the way Mamee Chef was made..

First the ingredients are kneaded together to made a dough. After it is kneaded, the dough put through the rotating rollers to develop gluten more easily as the sheet is pulled like la mian, folded and passed through the rollers several times. This will create the stringy and chewy texture found in the Mamee Chef noodles. When the noodle belt is made to the desired thickness by adjusting the gap in the rolls, it is then cut right away. Once the noodles are shaped, it is ready to be steamed by 1-5 minutes at 100 degrees Celsius to improve its texture by gelatinizing the starch of the noodles. Next, noodles will be be dried by frying and then cooled off. Quality of moisture, colour and shape are checked before packaging. A good education for my Little Angels as they now knew the process of making the Mamee Chef noodles, the noodles that they love. For more information on workshops, promotions and packages available, do contact them at 06-2324466...
