Good news. Good news to all the fans of Disney Junior as starting from
9 December 2014, Disney Junior’s ‘Pirate and
Princess: Power of Doing Good’ campaign aims to introduce kids aged 2-7 to the idea
and values of - caring for nature, animals, and helping others. The campaign
will aim to empower preschoolers to participate in acts of service encouraged
by parents and supported by the community. What a great idea especially on this long holiday season...
“Through
the power of our stories and characters we not only inspire kids to imagine a
better world but also help them to realize, through simple acts of caring for
their surroundings and their community, that they have the potential to make a
positive change in the world they live in. The Power of Doing Good campaign on
Disney Junior empowers kids and families with information and opportunities to
engage with their friends, families and communities to make a positive impact
on the world around them. We are grateful to our partners WWF (World Wide Fund
for Nature), SPCA Singapore and Selangor, and Singapore Environment Council for
their support,” said Natasha Malhotra, General Manager, Branded Media and
Content, The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia.
"WWF
is happy to support Disney Junior's Power of Doing Good campaign. Children need
to learn from a young age to be aware and care for the environment, the animals
and society. This will go a long way in growing a generation who takes
responsibility in shaping a healthy planet,” said Elaine Tan, CEO, WWF
Singapore.
Popular
Disney Junior characters Jake (from Jake and the Never Land Pirates) and
Sofia (from Sofia the First) will take the kids on a journey of personal
empowerment through the ‘Power of doing good’ campaign.
All of you must had wonder on how you and your little ones could join it. All you have to do is download fun
activity sheets from the website - www.disneyjuniorpowerofdoinggood.com. Activities are themed around four key areas -
