Last Friday, Mommy Jane took half day off from work to fetch my Little Angels from school. After they had bath and ate their lunch, we head over to RockStar Gym at Tropicana City Mall to attend the Children's Health Week 2017. While Mommy Jane attended the talk, my Little Angels had enjoyed themselves with the activities there.
RockStar Gym is a one stop Kids & Teens Physical Education. Founded in Indonesia in 2004, it now operates in 2 countries in 13 locations with over 10,000 kids and teens students to enhance their self-confidence, social skills and physical fitness.
The guest speakers on that day are Charis Wong, Director Counseling Psychologist KIN&KiDS Marriage, Family and Child Therapy Center and Ms Cynthia Jetan, Nutrition Consultant at GNC Live Well Malaysia. The event start of with welcome speech by Ms Candice, Marketing Department of RockStar Gym.

Then her colleague, Mr Azrin who is the Branch Manager of RockStar Gym at Tropicana City Mall told all the parents whom include Mommy Jane on the importance of physical activities to all the children. Children who are active in sports tend to do well in their academic studies as compare to children who are not active. Sports also help a child to have a stronger immune systems and stay happy always.

Ms Charis Wong had shared to us 3 Parenting Tips. 1st is the encouragement that we as parents should give to each of our child. When they something good, then we as parents need to say "We notice that..." Like the photo below, we should said "We notice that you had shared your colour pencils with your brother" to tell the child that you had notice that they had doing the right thing.

2nd is to Be a consultant parent : Facilitating creative problem solving to have a better parent-child relationship. We need to solve the problem together base on the mutual goals instead of direction from parents alone. We need some good observation of our child and some creative thinking about ways to respond.
3rd is the Special Time. One Parent and One Child to enjoy activity together. Give our child 110% of our attention with no agenda and no distractions. No matter how many children you had, as parents, we should give each and every child a special time off to understand them more so that they know that we love them. 15-20 minutes daily for 1 parent 1 child. The child must aware of special time, when it starts and when it ends. Special time activity will be chosen by your child. Non-contingent, neither a punishment or a reward.
Ms Cynthia Jetan shared with us why our kids need nutrient. It gave them energy, intelligence, stronger bones and fight infections.

She also share with us the the food pyramid that all parents should aware of to give our children enough nutrients in their growing up period. To encourage our children to eat more healthy food, we can be a bit creative to prepare for their daily meals.
Ms Cynthia also shared with us some of the supplements by GNC Live Well Malaysia which is suitable for our children. Mommy Jane and Little Angels had tasted the supplements provided on that day and it taste delicious. Mommy Jane will definitely get some for them so that my Little Angels will always stay healthy and happy.

Thanks to RockStar Gym for the invitation to Mommy Jane and Little Angels to join the talk while letting my Little Angels to join the activities there. Mommy Jane had gained some parenting tips and hope to become a better Mom now. My Little Angels had joined 2 activities on that day i.e. Gymnastics and Tennis and they love both the sports so much. Mommy Jane had registered them for the 6-months membership and I will do the review at my next post. Hope all the parents gained some tips from my post too.
