Kids Sports Activities at RockStar Gym

Physical activity is vital for our child's development and it lays the foundation for a healthy and active life. It also increase our child's self-esteem and mental alertness and teaches our children the life skills like teamwork, leadership and patience. Because of all these benefits, Mommy Jane had started my Little Angels on the Sports Activities at RockStar Gym since November last year.

RockStar Gym is a one stop Kids & Teens Physical Education. Founded in Indonesia in 2004, it now operates in 2 countries in 13 locations with over 10,000 kids and teens students. Located conveniently in Shopping Malls, it is convenient and entertaining for family to frequently attend the activities available.

At this post, let me introduce all the sports activities for kids at RockStar Gym. Except as mentioned, all the activities at RockStar Gym were divided into 2 categories i.e. Below 7 years old and Below 16/12 years old. Let's check out the activities as below :-

Basketball 

My Little Angels did a lot of running, jumping, dribbling, passing and shooting the ball for the Basketball activity. It will make them grow taller with the frequency of movement and the act of jumping while playing the sport. 

Taekwondo 
My Little Angels learned complicated movements that will help their memory and ability to concentrate. They learn how to coordinate with their bodies and learn about self-discipline. It also teaches them about respect and courtesy. At RockStar Gym, they had Martial Arts for kids below 6 years old and above 6 years old, will be Taekwondo and the category is depends on their belt colour. The colour of the belt given at RockStar was certified by Malaysia Taekwondo and recognise worldwide. Every quarter, the coach, Teacher Mun Kit will organise the exam for all the qualified students.

Futsal
Futsal helps my Little Angels to develop their ability to play in tight situations, pass more accurately, become better at quick decision-making and understand tactics. It is a great way for them to develop their skills of shielding and protecting the ball. 

Gymnastic
Gymnastics is one of the most comprehensive lifestyle exercise program to my Little Angels which incorporate strength, flexibility, speed, balance, coordination, power and discipline. It will build their foundations of good all-around muscle strength, endurance, improve their balance and had a better posture.

Tennis
Playing tennis regularly will strengthens the bones of my Little Angels and has been proven to help prevent osteoporosis later on in life. It will improve their hand-eye coordination, strengthening their heart and flexibility. 

Yoga
Yoga is the practice of accessing and integrating all aspects of our true nature i.e. body, mind and spirit in the pursuit of inner harmony. Kids often encounter emotional, social and physical challenges or conflicts. A dedicated and intentional yoga practice include breathing techniques, behavioral guidelines and physical postures can be incredibly valuable for my Little Angels

Dance
Dance education creates opportunities for self-expression and communication within the constraints of the medium of the body. It is a fun exercise for my Little Angels to release their creativity and an outlet for imagination and emotion. RockStar Gym had different dancing classes for different age group. There are Baby Dancing for 1 to 3 years old, Move & Groove for 3 to 5 years old, S.Studio for 4 to 7 years old, Hip-Hop and Rock-Fit for 6 years old and above 

CheerLeading
My Little Angels learn to be responsible to their teammates. They work together, compete together and celebrate together. It is also a social, team-based activity that help to improve their self-confidence and leadership skills.

All the Sports Activties for Kids at RockStar Gym are divided into 4 terms per year i.e. Winter (Dec-Feb), Spring (March-May), Summer (June-August) and Full Term (Sept-Nov). At the end of each term, there will be Performance Week where all the Kids will perform in front of their parents. Starting from this year, if your Kids able to master some of the activities i.e. Basketball, Futsal, CheerLeading and Dancing, then an audition will be held and the chosen Kids are qualified to attend their Elite Class which required longer training times. 

RockStar Gym is a One Stop Sports Activities Centre for our Kids to learn all these activities which include Ballet by just paying a fee instead of multiple fee for each activity. Thanks to RockStar Gym for the training and guiding my Little Angels to be active in Sports. From the 6 months of training, my Little Angels had passed their Taekwondo exam and had obtained yellow belt which was recognised worldwide and WT was selected to represent school for the basketball. My Little Angels were more discipline, happier and healthier now after joining all the indoor activities that were organised by RockStar Gym.
