To make our Merdeka. a meaningful day for my Little Angels, Mommy Jane had brought them to Jom Malaysia Carnival happening at Sunway City. The #JomMalaysia Carnival take place on 31st August and 1st September 2018 from 10 a.m. till 10 p.m. in front of Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa.
This Carnival is open to public for free and it is a tribute to the nation's 'Sayangi Malaysiaku' campaign. There are 5 experiential spaces which showcase the diversity of heritage and culture of Malaysia. Sunway hope that this carnival will strengthen our love for the country through cultivating a deeper understand of our history. Tan Sri Razman M. Hashim, Deputy Chairman of Sunway Group said that "To Know Malaysia is to Love Malaysia".
The excitement starts at the entrance of the Carnival where the unique "Evolution Tunnel" will transport us through a historical timeline showcasing Malaysia's rich historical heritage and Sunway's transformation from its early mining days into a multinational conglomerate today, very much in tandem with Malaysia's progress as a nation.
For Flavours of Malaysia space, do enjoy an array of tantalising Malaysia favourites i.e. Nasi Kerabu, Laksa, Rojak, Satay, Otak-Otak, Char Kuew Teow and many more. Do look out for our Childhood Food Store like White Rabbit Candy, Haw Flakes, Eye Glass Candy, Apollo Chocolate Wafers, Roti Ice Crean, Biscuit Piring and others which will make a delightful comeback.
For Cultures of Malaysia space, do watch out for an unforgettable cultural performances by the talented performers from ASWARA Malaysia.
For Traditional Malaysian Games space, it relive the good old days while teaching our children on traditional Malaysian games such as Congkak, Teng Teng, Sepak Bulu Ayam, Batu Seremban, Lompak Getah and even Eraser Battle.
For Arts of Malaysia, do support young Malaysian entrepreneurs and artists at the Buatan Malaysia section. Treat yourself with a wide selection of artisanal crafts and fashionable trinkets, clothing, accessories, toys and rattan.
