Interesting and Latest Storybooks from Scholastic

When I was just a little girl, I enjoyed going to the Library at school and at a van. The van was provided by the Government so that it could reach more students to encourage reading. Every week, the van will drop by at the playground behind my house at a specific times and I will always be the first to go there and grab few books to read on the spot or borrow it. Maybe because of that, I loves to read and write and even created my own story. Perhaps, that is how Mommy Jane became a blogger.
To encourage my children to read more so that they will be as successful as me, Mommy Jane will always bought the books from Scholastic that cater for babies till teenager. Mommy Jane will read for them till they are independent enough to read on their own. There are few Scholastic books that I got it from a bookstore recently for my Little Angels and would like to share it out. The first book is the Star Wars, Jedi Apprentice on the Day of Reckoning for WH who is 11 years old now.
The story is about peace over anger, honor over hate and strength over fear. Qui-Gon Jinn's evil former apprentice has set a trap for his old Master. He has lured Qui-Gon and young Obi-Wan Kenobi to his home planet of Telos and has framed them for a crime they did not commit. The penalty is death. Suddenly Qui-Don and Obi-Wan are fugitives on a planet where everyone is an enemy. Xanatos' day of reckoning has come.
Another book that captures my Little Angels' interest are the Magic Mirror on the Prince of Tricks. It is about the peaceful inhabitants had to fight the famously unbeatable Mongol Horde, in whose hands were a new invention, the first guns on earth. Join Mira and Marko in another thrilling adventure as, with the help of an antique bronze mirror, they journey through time to the ancient Majapahit empire with its line of trickster princes, men with the interesting talent of stealing princess. This book is suitable to WH and CW who is 12 years old.
What I like about the Hello Kitty, Beach Day is there are 24 Flash Card provided inside the book. Make it easier for me to teach WT who is 4 years old and it taught him to remember some words while reading the book. This make the reading is fun with Hello Kitty.
The next book that I got for WJ is the Prina, the Pangolin. I found out that the story line more on interacting session between a Mom and her baby. Prina is a baby pangolin who is just getting to know the world. On a moonlit night, she sets off on her mother's back to explore the forest and learn a little about what life as a pangolin is all about.
For WT who is 8 years old, I got him a Scholastic book with the title Tree, a little Story about big things for him to imagine the life of a tree. This book will help him to appreciate the surroundings and take good care of the environment.
The Croco Dolly by Martin McKenna is quite an interesting book for WJ. All the pictures came with an action and the captions tell it all. It relates to my Little Angels too coz' pets are not allowed at our home even though they had always wanted to have one. Hope my Little Angels will not keep a secret and having a crocodile as pet instead. Ha ha ha...
As parents, we want a bright and smart children, which is why we spend so much times choosing the right books so that our children will enjoy reading it. As our child grows older, he'll be on the move i.e. playing, running and constantly exploring his environment and books will let both of us to sit down and read it together. It will bring a stronger relationship with our children.
