International Buffet and Cultural Performances at Wow KL

Mommy Jane and Little Angels went to Wow KL for the food review with my fellow food blogger friends. Previously known as Saloma Bistro, there is some changes to the Management recently and now known as Wow KL. Wow KL is located just beside MaTiC (Malaysia Tourism Centre).
Wow KL is set to WOW tourists and locals with their delicious food, their destination and their cultural performances. It is a hot venue for corporate events, weddings, group tourists and local. Wow KL offered its international buffet with more than hundreds of dishes for you to choose from. There is Malay, Western, Chinese, Indian and other ethnics dish specialty. Do check out my video below...

For Appetizers and Salad, there are display of Roast Meats, Chicken Salad with Curry, Apples and Mango Salad. Salad Nicoise Seafood Salad, Tortilla Guacamole, Smoked Salmon, Sweet Cord Salad, Red Beans Salad, Potato Salad, Ceaser Salad, Garden Fresh Salad and Pasta Salad.

For Condiments & Dressing, there are Keropok, Papadom, Golden Raisin, Black Raisin, Black and Stuffed Olive, Onion Ring, Tornato Carrot, Fresh Cucumber, Country Egg, Salted Egg, Spring Onion, Cut Chili, Raita, Plain Yogurt, Sambal Belacan, Air Asam, Thousand Island, French and Italian Vinaigrette, Pickled Ginger, Lime and Mango Chutney and Fruit Rojak. There are variety of Jeruk too i.e. Manga, Kelubi, Papaya, Cermai, Amra, Bawang Putih, Sengkuan, Jambu Batu and Kelubi.

At the soup station, you could have Mushroom Soup or Soto Ayam with Condiments to eat together with Breads & Butter.

At the Malay Hot Section, Wow KL served Steamed Rice, Daging Rendang Tok, Kari Ikan Bendi and Nyonya Chap Chai.

At the Western Hot Section, there are Aglio-Olio, Roasted Chicken Black Pepper Sauce, Fried Fillet with Fish Lemon Sauce, Fried Chicken, Saute Mix Vegetables, Butter and Garlic.

For the Mid East Hot Section, you can have the Saffron Rice, Lamb Persian, Chicken Makhani and Stew Egg Plant Tomato Jus.
There are few Hawker Stalls that cater with different dishes. Wow KL had a Hawker Stall for Roasted Baby Chicken Percik Terengganu Style, Roti Canai Yellow Lentil Curry, Curry Noodles and Condiments, Chicken and Beef Satay, Lamb Shawarma Lebanese Bread with Garlic Mayo Dipping and ABC Batu Campur and Condiments.

Life will not be complete without the sweet desserts. There are 5 types of French Pastries, Baked Cheese Cake, Walnit Cake, Macha Gateaux Cake, Fruits Tart, Apple Crumble, Cream Hon, Bubur Wow and different types of traditional Kuih i.e. Lapis, Lopeh, Koci, Cara Berlauk, Seri Muka and Tepung Talam. Besides that there are variety of Tropical Local Fresh Fruits such as Watermelon, Papaya, Apples, Pineapple, Honey Dew and even Bananas.

Ice Cream was served too. You can choose to have Vanilla, Chocolate, Mango or Durian. For drinks, you can have Coffee, Tee, Cordial and even Teh Tarik.

Besides all the delicious and variety of food, Wow KL will wow all their guests with Malaysia Cultural Dance Performance. There is traditional dance for Malays, Chinese, Indian and even Portuguese.

There is Adat Bersanding performance to show all the guests and tourists the traditional of Malays wedding. We had the opportunity to be part of the cultural too when 20 tourists and guests were invited to gave the blessing to the new couple and in return, we were given a "bunga telur melur" as a gift for the blessing. 
Mommy Jane brought WJ to go up the stage to experience the cultural act himself for him to learn other ethnics cultural wedding. Even though it is a simple process but at least we learn to do it directly. A memorable and invaluable experience for him.

Guests, bloggers and tourists were also invited to the stage to join the joget dance with the professional dancers. Everyone was so happy and joget all night long. Even some children joined in to have fun too.
The international buffet and cultural dance performance at Wow KL is available from Monday till Sunday which include public holidays. The buffet is open from 7 p.m. till 10 p.m. The price for adult is at RM110 nett per pax and for children aged 6-12 years old is at RM70 nett per pax. From 1st April 2018, the price for Non-Malaysian will be at RM130 nett per pax for adult and RM95 nett per pax for child. For Malaysians, the price will be at RM115 nett per adult and RM80 nett per child. Besides buffet, ala-carte menu is available too.
Outside the restaurant, there is Bistro for everyone to enjoyed some drinks and watching live singing performances.

Thanks to Wow KL for the invitation to Mommy Jane and Little Angels to join the food review and to enjoy the cultural dance performance. There are variety of dishes from different ethnics and different countries to choose from. Lots of tourists from China on that day and they took this opportunities to try our local food such as roti canai, curry, satay, kuih muih, teh tarik and many more. They enjoyed the taste from their happy faces after enjoying their meal and watching our cultural dance show. It is indeed a memorable experience for Mommy Jane and Little Angels not only on the food but also the great performances from the professional dancers who never failed to amuse us with a WOW.

  2. I really enjoyed the food and cultural performances when I dined at Saloma Bistro a couple of times in the past. Keen to give this place and its new menu a try.

  3. Oh my! Reading this at lunch time is tempting my hunger pangs 😂 so much variety to choose from! Cultural shows are great with the family too! Will bring my kids to go watch one day when they start to talk 😂

  4. food and cultural are really good combination to watch with family. times like this is the most appropriate to teach our future generation about culture and heritage. anyway the food looks so tempting and yummy!
