The exhibition will be held from 6th November, 2010 till 21st November, 2010.

Children were to collect all the round sticker by participating all the stimulated road systems and traffic situations and identify problems and dangers associated with road usage and at the same time, experiental demonstrations are performed where visitors can learn about the importance of embracing positive road safety behaviours like using seat belts and why we should not walk near moving vehicles, among others.

Upon completion, each children will be rewarded with Disney batch by Astro Malaysia.

There are also fun, interactive activities which include the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse : Road Tally" story-telling slots as well as workshops that teach children on the value of wearing the humble helmet, why a car chasis must be firm, stable and strong, and how the bumper absorps impact in an accident.

There will also have special appearance of the Petronas StreetSmart mascots, Siti, Ah Chong and Muthu to bring the extra cheer to young visitors.

After the story-telling session, children were given some quiz and those able to answer, were given some prizes sponsored by Astro and Petrosains. And the Grand Prize winner.... is my 2nd daughter, Chai Wen... who won a box of 2 race cars and all my children so excited to it. Chai Wen was brave enough and raise her hand up to answer the question of which channel to catch the premiere of the "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse : Road Tally" show on Playhouse Disney and the answer is... Astro Channel 613. She proudly show off her prize to her Daddy after that...

Even though just a short trip, am glad that my children learned something about the road safety.
Each blog family also receive a goodie bag and all children also entitle to have a smaller bag of it with sticker, colouring book and poster. They really felt very happy. Thanks to Sophia for inviting us to such an educational event.

Permaisuri Resort, Port Dickson

Last weekend brought my children to PD after their exam over and stay at Permaisuri Resort, Port Dickson which is a 4 star resort. The resort just opened a year ago and everything seems to be new and clean.

The beach just infront of the swimming pool.

We booked an apartment with 3 rooms. Normal price is RM620++ but we bought at Matta fair for only RM288 which include breakfast for 6 persons. Please don't expect too much for their breakfast as the food there not as great as expected. A bit disappointed also. Sigh...

But food at the chinese restaurant taste good and affordable and they do serve halal food also as majority of the population in PD is Malay.

A very nice view fom my Apartment which is at the 10th Floor, the highest floor of the Resort. My another disappointment is there are only 3 lifts. 1 of the lift always out of order and the another wan is not same place with the another 2. So, we had to wait for quite some times for the lift to reach us.

The beach located at Blue Lagoon and its quite clean if compare with others beach at PD.

Not many peoples at the beach and we can enjoy nice scenery and the wave sounds really relaxing...

My children enjoyed playing at the playground as everything were new and clean.

First time sitting such a long slides in the pool, really a challenging for my eldest daughter. At first she might be afraid but after that she enjoyed it very much and sitting many times with the help of her cousin, Kimi. Thanks, Kimi...

Still thinking what no. is this as my Mom said its a no. and if anyone can unveil it will kena 4 ekor lottery. Believe it or not. Anyone kena, should belanja me ar. Ha ha ha...

Overall eventhough just a short trip, 2d1n, my children enjoyed playing sands and swimming. A great experience on sitting slides also for my eldest wan. My another 2 youngers wan just experience it once and then give up as afraid of it.

Everly Resort Malacca

Last weekend since it is Wesak public holiday, we went to Malacca for 3 days 2 nights. My family, parents and my siblings meet up at Malacca. We drive from KL and my 2nd Sis from Singapore. Eager to meet them up and catch up latest news amongst ourselves. We choose Everly Resort Malacca which is a 5-star resort coz' my brother bought the membership card for RM580 which valid for a year and can get discount up to 80% per room. For more information, pls log on their website : http://www.malacca.ws/everly/

We book two 3-bedrooms apartment that comes with a kitchen, living and dining hall. Quite spacious and each apartment can accommodate 6 adults and 4 children. Each apartment normal price is around RM1,200 and after 80% discount, we only pay RM250 per apartment per night. Its a good offer especially so many of us staying there.

All the rooms and the living hall facing pool and seaview. Really relaxing especially at night, as can hear the sounds of the wave from the sea. Ha....

One of the statue that caught my eyes which was beautifully installed at a small pond with waterfall, flowers, plants and fishes.

Children enjoyed swimming at the pool with their cousins. All of them play happily.

While waiting for our lunch to be served, took some pictures surrounding which includes the receptionist and the restaurant.

Had a nice lunch with my family at the resort. We ate black pepper crab, nyonya style prawn, Nyonya omelete, sweet n sour fish, hot and spicy fish, sambal belacan fried asparagus, mixed vegetables, chicken kapitan and tangy chicken with potato for 12 adults and 9 children. Food mostly Malacca nyonya style. Yummy...

We stuck in the traffic jam for 4 hours instead of normal 2 hours. Really bored and sleepy sitting in the car. Children also throw some thantrum as too bored already. Its late evening by the time we reached KL.

Overall minus the jam, everything went smoothly. We spend most of our time at the resort to catch up all our happenings and share our views especially dealing with children. Children also having fun as able to play with their cousins. Its good to have it 3 times a year to build a family bond.
Thanks to my eldest brother who took some of his busy schedule to organise it every times for us. For him, family bonding is the secret to happy, well-balanced children and adults. Family is one of the most important word in our English vocabulary. It is where we get our values from and how we nurture each other to be who we are. Families with strong ties to each member are usually successful families that care and take care of each other.
Once again, thanks brother Kim. We'll appreciate your effort...

Last Sunday evening, my children wants to go for a swim as they really enjoy swimming and luckily my apartment had swimming facility. Got adult and children area. So they got to play at the children area where the water is not deep and save to play. They do bring along floats, ball and the flying pan to play with. 3 of them happiest moment will be at the pool.
Except swimming pool, we have 2 types of playgrounds also. My children got to choose 1 of them as there are just below my apartment unit. Maid will bring them down every evening to play around. Lots of birds flying around.

Another side of the land have 2 nice playland, basketball court, football court and jogging trek which was maintained by DBKL. I can see them from my apartment unit. Their voice can be heard from my unit also. I used to jog early in the morning but nowadays a bit lazy as every week days had to rush to prepare them to school and kindy. Weekends is my lazy time.
Its cooling and windy here. Can get fresh air with the natural bird singing, really relax...

They got to mix around and know more new friends also.

It might be just a simple activities but never look down on it as it builds children stamina and their brain also. My eldest daughter was recently selected as one of the 8 students in their class of 50 students to join the sports day as she could run fast. She really proud when she informed me the good news.

Just let our children to venture all out and not just stay at home watching television and shopping. It also helps a lot to build a healthy children. Children Healthy, Family Happy...

When I was just a little girl...

When I was just a little girl, my Mom used to bring me to see parades. We'll took chairs and sit beside the road and eagerly waiting for the parade to start. From the flowers, lights and dance parade, they show us that Malaysia had different ethnics with different cultures.
So, when Tourism Board again organise Colours of 1 Malaysia, mades me think of my past... and I decided to let my children to experience it. Many peoples said don't bring children to pack place as afraid of H1N1 but for me these experiences shouldn't be miss.
After dinner, we park our car at Pertama Complex and walk to Globe Silk Store which is quite near to our parking. Easy to go home later as I don't think my children can watch till the end of the shows. It was reported that the events will start at 8pm till 12 midnight but after half an hour waiting, ard 9pm, the events only started.
We sat in front of lion, dragon and tiger costumes as children love to watch it. The place that we sat, can only see 1/3 of the performances as actually those performances start from Merdeka Square.

This is the first time children got to see so many lions, tigers and dragon get together to performed. They are so happy and excited seeing it especially my eldest son.

It was followed by Launch of Malaysia Mega Sale 2010 where these students dance n parade taking shopping bags and wear those Hawaii constumes.

Children got to see Indian and Sikh community dance also.

Lastly its Kadazan dance. We had to leave after that as my eldest daughter already felt very tired as didn't take nap in the afternoon. Its almost 10pm and she always slept as this time, so we had to go home but on the way getting our car, they grab some sticks that produce lights as souvenir.

Eventhough its just a short trip but it reminds me of myself when I was just a little girl. It might not as excited as when I saw it when I was just a little girl but I am happy seeing children got excited seeing it for their first time. Learning through experience and I am glad children got to see and experience our cultural in Malaysia. Colours of 1 Malaysia...
